A southwest Dallas church has heavy damage from the two-alarm fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon.
Fire officials say much of the sanctuary at Dallas Indian Revival Church has been destroyed.
Just past 5:30 p.m. fire crews were called to the church near Ivanhoe and Pollard where they found flames spouting from the roof when they pulled up.
Firefighters went inside initially but commanders pulled everyone out once it became clearly unsafe. In fact, part of the roof caved in.
Dallas Fire-Rescue says some construction workers were on the roof and it's believed the fire was ignited by a torch they were using.
