One CEO is hoping an investment in south Dallas will change the perception of the area and encourage more growth.
The Dallas City Council recently approved up to $31.4 million in financing for a mixed-use development near the UNT Dallas campus. It will be called University Hills and plans include 1,500 multi-family units, hundreds of single-family homes, 1.5 million square feet of commercial properties, and more than 50 acres of green space.
Mike Hoque is CEO of Hoque Global and says this campus in south Dallas is in a prime location. He says they are hoping to get a business to bring their headquarters there to bring more than just the warehouse jobs south Dallas has historically seen.
