Dallas' Cooper Institute teams up with NASA for heart disease study

The Cooper Institute based here in Dallas is working alongside NASA for a study on heart disease in astronauts.

They wanted to know if astronauts are more likely to have higher rates of heart disease mortality due to zero gravity? The results of the study were recently published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings.

Dr. Beth Wright with the Cooper Institute joined the KRLD Afternoon News to discuss the findings.
