Texas Democrats signaled their support for President Joe Biden following his news conference in Washington on Thursday night.
The president answered questions about his fitness for office and his ability to win re-election. Dallas County Democratic Party Chair Kardal Coleman said he was happy with Biden's performance.
"The the delegates from Texas, are really locked in, specifically the ones from from Dallas County," Coleman said. "And so I think we're going to have a successful convention. And if the president keeps performing, like what we saw tonight, that will leave no room for doubt about his capabilities and his ability to lead this country."
He said Dallas County has a group of 41 delegates ready for the Democratic National Convention this summer, which is its largest group ever.
His support is solid here, and it's because of his body of work," Coleman said. "Tonight the president really talked about his economy and America being back at work, focusing on on middle America. So here in Dallas County, we're ready to, to support our nominee and and finish the job."
