Dallas County launches information campaign for voters

Dallas County launches information campaign for voters

Dallas County has launched an information campaign to reduce any confusion over where to vote during the Midterms.

Voters during the primary were forced to vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day because of a decision by the Dallas County Republican Party not to hold a joint election with democrats.

When one party makes that decision, State Law forces the other party to also have precinct-only elections on Election Day itself. It didn't apply during early voting.

That will not be the case during the general election and voters in Dallas County will go back to what they have been used to for years.

Voters can vote at any vote center during early voting through October 30th and on Election Day, November 3rd.

The Dallas County Elections Department sent out mass texts and mailers to registered voters on the first day of early voting this week.
