
Dallas County officials say the IT department has contained the latest cyberware attack.
In an e-mail to Dallas County employees, the IT Department says it has managed to get ahead of the "Play Ransomware" attack before it spread to multiple systems.
UT-Dallas cyber-security professor Murat Kantarcioglu says the County is already telling everyone to change their passwords.
County officials say they will continue monitoring the system to make sure there are no other problems.
Late last year the Dallas County Central Appraisal District was the target of a ransomware attack and the city of Dallas was also hit with an attack that has cost taxpayers millions of dollars to fix.
