Groups of volunteers will be out this weekend in Dallas County for what they’re calling a “Max the Vax” effort.
The goal is to help people living in the county’s most vulnerable communities get registered for the COVID-19 vaccine. Volunteers are planning to go door-to-door, asking senior citizens if they need help registering.
The “Max the Vax” effort will continue throughout next week, as well.
Registration locations in Dallas County:
Highland Hills Library at 6200 Bonnie View Road in Dallas. Registration is Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5-6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Savers Cost Plus at 1610 S Westmoreland Road in Dallas. Registrations is Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
Pioneer Event Center at 1025 W. Pioneer Pkwy in Grand Prairie. Registration is Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Arturo Salazar Elementary School at 1120 S. Ravinia Drive in Dallas. Registration is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Savers Cost Plus at 504 N O Connor Road in Irving. Registration is Monday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Between Feb. 6-18, nine Dallas ISD schools will host COVID-19 vaccine registration events at the following locations:
