DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Dallas County sets a new single-day record for COVID-19 cases. The county is reporting 2,438 coronavirus cases today.
It's classifying 1,942 of those as "confirmed" and 496 as "probable". There are also 12 new deaths.
More than 800 COVID patients have been hospitalized in acute care facilities in the past week.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins is asking people to avoid crowds by using on-line shopping whenever possible - and to wear masks whenever they're around someone who's not part of their immediate household.
