
When it comes to COVID-19 hospitalizations, there’s a glimmer of hope in Dallas County and some not so good news in Tarrant County.
UT Southwestern’s latest forecast shows that in Tarrant County, COVID-19 hospitalizations are expected to climb over the next few weeks, reaching 1,300 by the end of the month.

In Dallas County, the forecast shows the number going down, as long as people continue wearing masks, social distancing and getting vaccinated. The number of total COVID-19 hospitalizations in Dallas County is expected to remain at about 1,000 by the end of the month.
According to the forecast, Dallas County has higher levels of mask-wearing than Tarrant county.
