The Dallas County District Attorney's Office is forming a new unit to fight human trafficking.
The DA's office says Dallas is one of the top 10 cities nationwide for sex trafficking cases and that having one dedicated prosecutor review all human trafficking cases will help build trust and consistency with survivors.
The unit is being funded by a $200,000 grant from the Governor's office. The new Human Trafficking Team will include a prosecutor, an investigator, and a victim advocate.
