He ran a hotel for drug dealers. Now a Dallas man is going to be a guest at a federal prison.
44-year-old OJ Vance has been sentenced to more than 6 years behind bars for allowing an extended-stay hotel to be used as a base for drug trafficking.
Vance managed the Extended Stay America hotel on Vantage Point Drive in northeast Dallas. It was a haven for drug dealers. A federal task force says Vance knew about it.
In fact, they say he not only looked the other way, he warned drug traffickers of impending raids or inspections. 30 others have been charged with drug offenses operating out of the hotel.
