A couple of chilly mornings are anticipated, followed by a beautiful day on Monday and a rapid warm-up throughout the remainder of the week. The threat of severe storms exists just east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Wednesday and again on Friday. Furthermore, wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible from the west on Friday. A picturesque weekend will ensue.

Good morning, friends and followers. The weekend was indeed wild, with severe weather occurring south of the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Saturday morning. We are now experiencing chilly conditions under clear skies, with temperatures ranging from the upper 30s to low 40s. It's essential to grab a jacket before heading out. Today will be sunny with a high of 72. A delightful afternoon is anticipated.

Tonight will be another cold night, with temperatures dipping into the low to mid-40s. Tomorrow will be sunny with temperatures reaching the upper 70s.

On Wednesday, Gulf of Mexico moisture will briefly surge northward, causing humidity to rise during the afternoon. The day will be sunny with temperatures near 80. Most of the surface moisture is expected to accumulate just east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area on Wednesday evening, resulting in the greatest threat of strong to severe storms. It is likely that most of North Texas will miss this event.

The air will dry out again on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching the low 80s on Thursday and near 80 on Friday, accompanied by strong winds. Wind gusts exceeding 50 mph are possible across North Texas during the day, with dust moving into the area by late afternoon. Additionally, there is a threat of strong to severe storms breaking out along and east of the McKinney to Dallas to Waxahachie line on Friday evening. However, most of the available moisture will be in East Texas. I will continue to monitor the timing of this system and provide updates if the threat shifts farther west into the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The weekend is expected to be delightful, with highs in the low 70s on Saturday and sunny conditions with a high of 76 on Sunday.

For those embarking on spring break to the Gulf Coast, the weather will be spectacular, with highs in the mid-80s throughout the period, warmer inland. For those heading to New Mexico or Colorado for skiing, fresh powder fell over the weekend. However, be aware that a major winter storm will unfold in Colorado on Thursday and Friday, bringing blizzard conditions that may impact travel home next weekend. I will provide updates on my page as necessary.

Have a terrific day today, and please enjoy the weather when you can, it's the ON:Y weather you've got!
