Dallas kicks off 'National Park and Recreation Month' with free family day activities Friday

DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Dallas is celebrating "National Park and Recreation Month" with some special activities, Friday.

There's a free community family day at the MLK Rec Center with carnival rides, water slides and e-sports. There's also some free food from Denny's Mobile Relief Diner.


Dallas is also offering free "all access passes" to kids between the ages of 13 and 17 to some museums, entertainment venues and other facilities as part of "National Park and Recreation Month". The Teen All Access Pass is available to the first 10,000 applicants.

Teens who live in the city of Dallas can register in-person at any Dallas rec center.
