DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- With holiday travel upon us, Dallas Love Field Airport is ranking pretty high on a list of airports with the busiest TSA security wait times.
A study from the travel website Upgraded Points says the wait at Love Field averages a little more than seven-and-a-half minutes -- which puts Love in eleventh place among those with the longest wait times.
DFW Airport does better, averaging about four minutes and 20 seconds, good for a rank of 45. Of course, for those with TSA Pre-Check status, the waits are much shorter at both airports.
If you have a choice, don't fly out of Love Field on a Sunday -- that's the worst day for long waits there. For DFW Airport, it's Wednesday.
Specifically for Thanksgiving travel, the busiest day for Love Field will be the day before Turkey Day while for DFW it will be the Sunday after when everyone's returning home.
