DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- The Dallas man accused of critically wounding a toddler last summer as he fired into a car has been indicted.

Charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon have been leveled against 50-year-old Jason Cain of Dallas. They are accusations that could lock him up for life.

Police say on August 25th, a couple was delivering a meal for DoorDash in the White Rock Hills area of Dallas. Their 2-year-old was in the back seat. When they got on Norsworthy Drive, they crossed paths with a motorcycle driven by Cain.

An affidavit says Cain was angered that the couple had honked a horn at him, so he turned his bike around, caught up with the car and opened fire hitting the child.

He was quickly tracked down, arrested and bonded out of jail.
