A Dallas man who has previously pleaded guilty to trying to kill a Hill County Constable has now admitted to murdering another man.
Court records show 21-year-old Hector Murillo is already serving a 55-year prison term for shooting Hill County Constable Kevin Cordell in the face.
Now Murillo has been given another 15-year prison term for murder that will be served at the same time.
Both Hector and his twin brother Adrian Murillo had faced charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon when they were allowed out of the Dallas County jail on ankle monitors.
In April of 2021, Murillo and his twin brother killed a Dallas man. A month later a federal fugitive task force spotted the two and a chase started that wound through several counties.
It ended with a crash in Hill County where Cordell was wounded, Murillo's brother was killed and Murillo was arrested.
Murillo has now pleaded guilty to the initial murder.
