DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- A Dallas man who wounded a police officer who was attempting to make a murder arrest has taken a plea deal.
21-year-old Jordan Owens has taken a plea deal that reduces a capital murder charge to felony murder and a life sentence that does allow for parole in 30 years.
On November 16, a task force was trying to arrest Owens at an apartment complex at 635 and Skillman when he opened fire. A Dallas police officer was wounded.
The plea deal is over a murder that happened a short distance away from the shooting scene, the day before where a man was shot during a drug-related robbery.
