The Dallas Mavericks have fired General Manager Nico Harrison.

The Dallas Mavericks Governor is sharing an open letter to all Mavs fans after deciding to fire Harrison.

The Mavs have started the season three and eight and are second to last in the west.

"No one associated with the Mavericks organization is happy with the start of what we all believed would be a promising season," Dumont wrote in the letter. "When the results don't meet expectations, it's my responsibility to act. I've made the decision to part ways with General Manager Nico Harrison."

The Mavs have announced co-interim general managers Michael Finley and Matt Riccardi.

Finley has been in the front office since 2017 and Riccardi joined the organization in 2022.

"A comprehensive search will begin for a permanent replacement," the Mavericks organization said in a statement.
