A Dallas man accused of cutting off his ankle monitor and going on the run just days before his capital murder trial is back in custody this morning in Oklahoma.
Officials say Tyrese Simmons was arrested yesterday after a standoff at a hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Simmons is charged with the murder of a 9-year-old girl four years ago.
Investigators say he was feuding with a fellow rapper and fired a gun into the wrong apartment, killing the little girl who lived there.
A second man charged in the case was convicted last year and sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Simmons is facing up to life in prison. He'll be extradited back to Dallas and a new trial will be scheduled.
