DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- At the Dallas Museum of Art, a repair team is hoping it will be able to fix broken artifacts damaged in a break-in last month.
The Museum says everything has been saved, down to the tiniest fragments. Now, the conservation team has to start the delicate work of repairing the art.
Four ceramic objects, three Greek pieces and one Native American, were damaged when a man broke into the museum on June first and start smashing things.
Putting these pieces back together isn't like super gluing something at home. The team has to match each broken piece to the right object, then it has to decide how to repair the piece. Even after repairs are made, the ancient ceramics will likely still show some damage. The museum's team then has to decide how far to go with the repairs.
Repairing all the pieces will take a while. No date has been set for when the items will be back on display.
