The U.S Postal Service has been trying to cut mail theft, but a neighborhood in Dallas has still become a target.

People who live in the neighborhood of North Dallas say their letter carrier noticed mailboxes were being cleaned out.

David Ackner tells NBC 5 his doorbell camera showed a guy going through mailboxes and stacking dozens of envelopes under his arm. The US Postal Inspection Service's Jeffrey Fobbs says the guy used one of their keys to break into the boxes.

He says mail theft has dropped 27% but they still arrested 1,400 people for mail theft across the country last year.
