DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- Dallas Police are getting some help from the Dallas Zoo and Dallas Animal Services to care for some animals that were seized on Thursday. One of those animals is a tiger.
Police executed several search warrants as part of an animal cruelty investigation. They found the tiger being kept in a wire mesh cage at a home on Johnson Lane in far south Dallas. They also seized roosters, chickens and dogs.
DPD is getting some help in the investigation from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement. Police say charges in the case are pending.
