Dallas Police have arrested a man they say confessed to being involved in a shootout that sent a pregnant woman to the hospital on May 30.
Police say 31-year-old Zachary Leffall was arrested yesterday.
"He was transported to DPD Headquarters, read his Miranda Rights," says Sergeant Jones with Dallas police. "He did wave his rights. He spoke with a detective and he confessed to his involvement in the shooting."
Leffall is facing a charge of aggravated assault.
The woman who was shot was leaving church near the intersection of Audelia Road and Forest Lane. She had to be rushed to the hospital to deliver her baby. Both survived and are doing fine.
"We're glad we got the bad guy," Sgt. Jones says. "But the biggest thing we're grateful for is that this woman and her child are safe."
