The city of Dallas is working with an outside contractor to address issues with a computer server used by the Dallas Police Department.
The server in question stores video files from an interview room in the department's robbery unit. The issue was discovered earlier this summer, and employees reported that a small portion of the video files could have contained errors.
Officials said the city has partnered with a private company to review and reload the files, and so far, no active cases or requests for video have been affected. The department is reviewing video files dating back five years as part of the effort.
No further details were provided on the nature of the server issues or the affected files.
