DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Dallas police are looking for a driver who ran over a man on Wednesday and then fled the scene. They're hoping security camera pictures will help them track down the vehicle.
Police say the driver of a pickup truck pulled out of a parking lot along 300 S. Marsalis Avenue near the I-35-E service road at about 3:35 am on Wednesday, January 18th. The driver made an improper turn onto the freeway service road at Marsalis, then ran up onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian. That man died from his injuries.
Police say the truck was likely a GMC made between 2005 and 2010. They're asking anyone who recognizes it or who has information about the case to contact Vehicle Crimes Detective Jearlynn Jackson at 214-608-6014 or jearlynn.jackson@dallaspolice.gov about case number 010360-2023.
