Officers made arrests Monday in connection to two deadly shootings in which they were looking for a 17-year-old suspected gunman, Dallas police say.
Last week, police asked for the public's help to find a 17-year-old, who they said they suspected of shootings on Dec. 11 in Pleasant Grove and on May 2 in Bruton Terrace.
Police did not say whether it was the same teenager arrested in connection to both incidents.
In the first incident, on Dec. 11, 2023, a 27-year-old man was shot inthe 10500 block of Lake June Road, police said. He was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle, where he was pronounced dead.
Dallas police said officers responded to a shooting on May 2 at the intersection of N. Masters Drive and Carolina Oaks Drive. They said they believed the incident stemmed from a "minor vehicle accident."
In that incident, one person started to shoot, striking three people, police said. One of the three, a 16-year-old, was taken to an area hospital, where they died from their injuries.
