A Dallas Police officer was shot while attempting to serve an arrest warrant in Northeast Dallas early Thursday morning.
Police say the US Marshals Task Force, including members of the Dallas Police Department, were executing a Capital Murder arrest warrant at an apartment complex on Adleta Boulevard near I-635 and Skillman around 6:00 a.m.
During the execution of the warrant, the suspect and officers exchanged gunfire. A Dallas Police Task Force member was shot in the leg. The suspect was also shot.
The officer was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The suspect was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
