One person is in the hospital after being shot in east Dallas yesterday. The victim was shot multiple times at an address on John West Road near North Buckner. Not waiting for an ambulance, the victim drove straight to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Police believe the victim and the shooter know one another so they feel confident they'll make an arrest. A friend of the victim fired back but police know if the attacker was hit or not.
In another incident, a man is in a Dallas hospital after getting beaten and shot last night. About 6 p.m. Dallas police got a call to an address on East Ledbetter near Bonnie View in east Oak Cliff where a man had been shot in the arm. He said he'd been pistol-whipped and shot by a man who got away in a white pick-up, heading west on Ledbetter. Police have not said what led up to the assault.
Finally, a man shot in the hand is not co-operating with Dallas police. The shooting was last night about 6 p.m. when police learned two men were quarrelling over money at an address near I-30 and Saint Francis. Suddenly, one man pulled a pistol but the other man took it away from him. During the scuffle, the first man was wounded in one hand -- then the other man ran for it. The man who was shot was checked out at the hospital but police are getting no help from him in finding the other guy.
