More than two months after a Seattle woman disappeared in Deep Ellum, Dallas police now believe Marisela Botello Valadez was a victim of a crime.
Botello vanished after a night out on October 5th. At first, police classified it as a "want to locate" case. Then, last month, that was upgraded to "endangered missing."
Yesterday, Dallas police for the first time used the term "foul play" to describe her disappearance.
The case has been turned over to the police department's Special Investigations Unit.
Botello was last seen with a man named Charles Beltran who also has not been seen since that night. Police say Beltran is a person of interest, not a suspect.
