Dallas police say one of their sergeants was driving through the traffic light at Manor Way and Cedar Springs, a couple blocks south of the entrance to Love Field.

At about 3:00AM, police say a car blew through a flashing red light and hit the sergeant's car, with the police car coming to stop next to shrubbery outside a building along Manor Way.

The other car stopped in the intersection with damage to the hood. Police say the sergeant went to the hospital but have not released his condition.

Neither person in the other car was hurt. Police arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
