Dallas Police provided more information Friday about an officer-involved shooting in Oak Cliff last weekend.

Officers were conducting a traffic stop near Jefferson Boulevard and Plymouth when they heard gunfire from an adjacent parking lot.

Chief Daniel Comeaux says officers immediately ran toward the parking lot.

"I think the officers did a great job hearing gunfire and they ran to the gunfire," Chief Comeaux said. "They didn't hesitate. They heard it. They went straight to the gunfire to try to figure out what was going on."

Officers fired at one vehicle that was shooting back at them.

The two drivers who were firing rounds were eventually found and arrested.

42-year-old Frank Williams was charged with one count of deadly conduct and 20-year-old Antonio Rivera was charged with two counts of aggravated assault against a public servant.

No officers were hurt.

This is the 7th officer-involved shooting involving a Dallas police officer this year.
