Dallas (1080 KRLD) - Police have charged a woman with the stabbing death of a 7-year-old child in a south Dallas home.

Officers were called to a stabbing on the 2900 block of Frazier Street, southeast of Fair Park, shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday. When officers arrived they found an adult woman had stabbed two children.

Police announced they have charged 24-year-old Troyshaye Mone Hall with Capital Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

Police say Hall stabbed the 7-year-old multiple times. An older boy was also injured in the attack. Sources tell KRLD, Hall was the little girl's mother.

A woman who lived at the home ran to a neighbor, a member of law enforcement. He was able to detain Hall and physically restrain her.

The man then took the children to a fire station. Dallas Fire-Rescue paramedics transferred the girl to a hospital, where she died, police said.

The juvenile boy, whose age has not been released, was also hospitalized and is said to be in stable condition.

Now word yet on a motive for the attack.
