A new restaurant in Dallas has received a huge honor from the Forbes Travel Guide.

Carte Blanche on Greenville Avenue has earned a five-star rating as one of the best restaurants in the world. It's the only one in the state of Texas. Carte Blanche opened last June.

"Dark wooden doors welcome you into Carte Blanche, and the rustic wooden beams inside the space give it an inviting aura," Forbes' inspector wrote. "Even when you're dining on upscale dishes, it feels like you have entered a comfortable cottage eatery rather than a fine-dining establishment."

And for those of you who decide to give Carte Blanche a visit, perhaps you should give some of Chef Amy's pastry's a try.

"A pastry isn't just a pastry at this Dallas restaurant," Forbes' inspector wrote. "Chef Amy creates an array of tantalizing baked goods that prove both expertly made and, in some cases, innovative."

In all, Forbes only gave five stars to three new restaurants this year. The other two are in Newport, Rhode Island, and Waikiki, Hawaii.
