TxDOT has warned of a number of road closures scheduled for this upcoming weekend.
Starting on Saturday at around 8 a.m. the westbound I-635 exit (Exit 16) to Skillman Street will be moved to the east between Royal Lane/Miller Road and Plano Road. The ramp will be accessible by staying in the right-hand lane, following signs for Exit 15 (see below).
They also say a temporary, but long-term closure of the eastbound I-635 entrance at the same street will begin at this time as well. This closure could last for up to a year.
In place of this entrance, drivers will need to head south on Audelia Road and east on Royal Lane in order to use the entrance ramp at Royal Lane/Miller Road intersection (see below).
Also, all eastbound and westbound I-635 main lanes at Skillman Street will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. on Saturday the 13th until noon on Sunday the 14th. A detour will be in place along the respective frontage roads.
During this time, Skillman Street at I-635 will also be closed in both directions. Traffic will be detoured via Abrams Road, Forest Lane, Royal Lane, and Plano Road.
RED ALERT - NB & SB 360 between Brown Boulevard & Six Flags Drive ALL LANES WILL BE CLOSED ALL WEEKEND from 8 pm on Friday, 8/19 through 5 am on Monday, 5/22, traffic will be directed through a marked detour.
TxDOT has said to expect delays and to plan accordingly, whether that be by leaving earlier or looking for another route.
