The Dallas Stars will host the Colorado Avalanche on Monday in Game 5 of the teams' first-round playoff series, tied 2-2.

The series began with a 5-1 victory for the Avalanche in Game 1, but the Stars rebounded in Game 2 with a 4-3 overtime win, thanks to Evgenii Dadonov's game-tying goal and Colin Blackwell's winner in extra time. The Stars edged out a 2-1 overtime victory in Colorado in Game 3.

Game 4 saw the Avalanche respond with a 4-0 shutout, led by captain Gabriel Landeskog, who scored his first playoff goal in nearly three years after recovering from a long-term injury.

The potential Game 5 return of defenseman Miro Heiskanen, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, could provide a significant boost to the Stars' lineup.

Game 6 is scheduled to take place in Colorado on Thursday, with a potential Game 7 back in Dallas on Saturday if necessary.
