A woman remains in custody in Dallas, charged with killing an 80-year-old after she confessed to police.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what led to the shooting, but say 30-year-old Kelsie Miles walked into police headquarters in Grand Prairie Sunday and told police she shot an 80-year-old in Dallas.
When police went to check, they found the victim identified as Betty Hearn inside an east Oak Cliff home shot to death. The two women knew each other but police have not yet revealed how. There's no word yet on what led to the shooting.
Miles has been turned over to Dallas police and has been booked into the Dallas County jail on a murder charge. Bail has been set at $750,000.
