A Dallas woman has been killed in a Cooke County crash over the weekend.
The Department of Public Safety confirms that Crystal Mendoza was a passenger in a car that crashed Sunday on I-35 in Valley View. A DPS investigator reports that the crash caused the car to become disabled in the right lane.
Mendoza and the driver — a Little Elm man named Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez — were out of their car when an SUV then struck it. Mendoza and Rebollar-Gonzalez were also struck. Both were taken to hospitals in Denton where Mendoza died and Rebollar-Gonzalez was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV was a Louisiana man. He is in the hospital with what DPS describes as "serious injuries."
