Fans of the Dallas Zoo will have two chances this summer to get in for just one dollar.
Tickets are on sale now for the Dallas Zoo's "Dollar Days". This year they will be July 13th and August 8th. The zoo will open early on both of those days at 8:30 a.m. to accommodate the larger crowds.
The zoo's snack shops will also sell popcorn for a dollar on those days. Parking will still be $10 per vehicle.
Zoo officials are urging people to take DART or use a ride-share to avoid any traffic or parking headaches.
They say the annual dollar days are part of their effort to provide an affordable experience for the entire family. Advance tickets are available through the zoo's web site.
