Dallas Area Rapid Transit is correcting its earlier statement about a suspect being in custody after a fatal shooting at a DART station Sunday night. The agency now says no one has been arrested, and the gunman remains on the loose around downtown Dallas and the DART rail system.
The shooting happened Sunday night at the Pearl/Arts District Station, where one person was killed. DART initially reported Monday that a suspect had been detained, but later clarified that information was incorrect.
Police have not released details about the victim or what led to the shooting. DART officials say their investigators are continuing to work with the Dallas Police Department to identify and locate the suspect.
Riders are urged to remain alert and report any suspicious activity as the investigation continues.
