DART police arrest 27-year-old Harrington Andrew Hurdle in connection with Sunday night’s fatal shooting on a DART train at the Pearl/Arts District station in downtown Dallas.

The victim is identified as 44-year-old Norman Brown.

The shooting happened around 7 p.m. as trains were moving through the station.

Hurdle was booked into the Dallas County Jail on a murder charge, according to DART and jail records. Service on the rail line was briefly disrupted Sunday night while investigators processed the scene, and normal operations later resumed.

Authorities have said the incident followed a conflict between two people on the train; no other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
