DART riders should brace for continued disruptions through Monday as the agency works to recover from last week’s train fire that damaged infrastructure in downtown Dallas.
While power has been restored to the Central Business District (CBD), trains are still not running directly through it. Instead, DART is operating a mix of train shuttles and bus bridges to keep passengers moving between key points.
Here’s how service is being adjusted:
Train shuttles are running between Victory and Pearl/Arts District, and from EBJ/Union to Pearl/Arts District.
Bus bridges are available to connect Pearl/Arts District with SMU/Mockingbird and Deep Ellum.
DART staff are stationed at EBJ/Union, Victory, Deep Ellum, Cityplace/Uptown, SMU/Mockingbird, and throughout downtown to help riders navigate the changes.
Line-by-line breakdown:
Red Line: Trains are running from Westmoreland to EBJ/Union. To go farther north, passengers should take a train shuttle to Pearl/Arts District, then use the bus bridge to reach SMU/Mockingbird. Service from Parker Road to SMU/Mockingbird continues as normal.
Blue Line: Trains operate between UNT Dallas and EBJ/Union. Riders needing to go beyond that should use the same shuttle-and-bridge route to get to SMU/Mockingbird. Service between Downtown Rowlett and SMU/Mockingbird is operating normally.
Orange Line: Service is running from DFW Airport to Victory, with transfers needed to continue. Trains between Parker Road and SMU/Mockingbird are unaffected.
Green Line: Trains are running from North Carrollton/Frankford to Victory. To go farther east, riders must switch to the shuttle and take a bus bridge to Deep Ellum. Service from Deep Ellum to Buckner remains uninterrupted.
DART says it appreciates everyone’s patience and is working to restore full service as quickly and safely as possible.
