Democrats are listing their demands on future funding for the Department of Homeland Security over ICE actions even with the government reopening this week.
Congresswoman Julie Johnson of North Texas is the Vice Ranking member on the House Homeland Security Committee.
She wants agents to be identifiable and to wear body cameras.
"These warrants that they are issuing, they are issuing administrative warrants that are not judicially sanctioned," Johnson told NewsNation. "They are trampling through the front doors of people's homes which is a clear violation of the fourth amendment. They cannot do that."
Johnson voted against a DHS funding bill that reopened the government this week.
Money for that department will run out by the end of next week.
House Speaker Mike Johnson argued refusing to fund DHS won't affect ICE because both ICE and Customs and Border Protection are already funded.
Areas though that could take a hit would involve other essential agencies.
