As the Denton County jail battles short-staffing, officials are coming up with ideas to entice new workers.
Denton County leaders are eliminating jobs to combat short staffing at the jail. County Sheriff Tracy Murphree says more workers are desperately needed.

To help, county commissioners have voted to get rid of five full-time positions at the jail and replace them with double the number of part-time jobs.
Sheriff Murphree says the part-time work is flexible perfect for college students interested in law enforcement or people in retirement.
