It's only the second day of school in Denton but the school district is already celebrating a milestone.
On Thursday more than 30,000 students showed up for the first day of school, and that's a record.
Denton school administrators call it "the largest first day in the history of Denton DISD and just the first day of what is going to be a great year."
Denton ISD has four high schools, eight middle schools and 24 elementary schools.
