Denton Mayor Gerard Hudspeth has announced his candidacy for Denton County Commissioner in Precinct Four, as he reaches the city's term limit for mayor.
Hudspeth, a Republican, will run in the March 2026 GOP primary for the seat currently held by Dianne Edmondson, who has served since 2018.
In a social media post, Hudspeth highlighted his record as mayor, stating that he has championed conservative policies and opposed what he called the “woke agenda.”
