Two Denton police officers spring into action, saving a woman who was trapped in an overturned vehicle.

It happened around 2:30 early Monday morning. Police say the car drove off a bridge along I-35W just south of Vintage Boulevard.

When officers got to the scene, they found the car overturned and half submerged in a creek. One of the officers made his way to the wreckage and using his batan, smashed out the rear driver’s side window. He was then able to pull the woman out of the car.

Medics treated the woman for non-life-threatening injuries. Police say a DWI investigation is underway.
