A North Texas woman missing overnight is safe this morning after being found about 400 miles away in Laredo, but there are still a lot of questions about how she got there...
DeSoto police issued a clear alert for 37-year-old Lacey Overby Thursday night. She went missing and police feared she had been kidnapped. She was last seen Thursday afternoon at the Taco Casa in Lancaster, she was buying a meal for a homeless man then she vanished, that was about 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
Investigators were trying to determine if that man kidnapped her.
He's described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 35. Police say he is bald and was wearing a blue and white plaid shirt. He is considered to be a suspect in Overby's disappearance.
They asked the public for help finding her. Then, just before one this morning DeSoto police posted she had been found safe in Laredo.
No word on how she got there...and there have been no arrests so far.
Police say she's being re-united with her family while the investigation continues.
Police are only saying they'll have an update later.
Overby was driving a 2015 silver Chevy Malibu with a Texas license plate of KDY-7339. The car has a dent on the left rear quarter panel and also has a sticker of a bulldog on the rear window.
