Missing DeSoto girl safely located

DESOTO (1080 KRLD)- Police in DeSoto has located a 13-year-old girl who hadn't been seen by her family for two weeks. Leah Denise Adams was reported as a runaway to DeSoto Police on October 28th.

Police say both she and fellow runaway 16-year-old Jaylin Boyd of Dallas, were safely picked up by DART Police.

Adams was described as a light skinned African-American female who is between 5’05" -5’6" and weighs approximately 170 Lbs. She had last been seen wearing black and white shoes, red sweat pants, a red t-shirt, black hoody, and had a gray mesh netting backpack.

DeSoto police were following up on reports that she was seen near DART's Illinois Station.
