Dallas (1080 KRLD) - More than 24 hours after a massive thunderstorm ground operations at DFW Airport to a halt, there are still delays to be aware of.
As is usually the case, any storm that causes a ground stop at DFW Airport will have a ripple effect nationwide, and it takes quite a while for the backlog to clear.
As of 4:00 this afternoon, outbound flights at DFW are averaging a delay of 34 minutes. For inbound flights, the average delay at their origins is 38 minutes.
One airline, in particular, Spirit Airlines, has been hit especially hard by the storm. The ultra-low-cost carrier has canceled more than 200 flights today alone.
