Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field decline to air a Department of Homeland Security video featuring Secretary Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for the ongoing federal government shutdown.
Airport officials said the video violates long-standing rules that prohibit political or issue-oriented content from being displayed on airport property.
The video, which DHS asked airports nationwide to show, claims Democratic lawmakers caused the shutdown that has affected TSA operations and other federal services.
Both North Texas airports confirmed no permit was submitted to broadcast the message.
The decision aligns with other major airports across the country that have also rejected the request, citing neutrality policies and compliance with federal restrictions such as the Hatch Act.
